In this workshop, you will explore as many ways of constructing the collage as possible with paint acting as the integrating element. Using water-based paint over and under your collages, you will learn not only how to build collages, but also how to paint both supportively and expressively. Find your creative voice as you discover what media work together and what processes best align with your vision and goals.

Through discussions and hands-on practice, Holly will share image transfer processes, gluing techniques, compatibility of media, and different ways of working with water-based paints. Materials include, but are not limited to paint, photographs, found objects, organic materials, cloth, and three-dimensional objects. Leave this workshop with a toolkit of strategies for assembling collages and combining media successfully.
