Designed to introduce students to watercolor painting methods, this comprehensive workshop will provide a framework in tools and materials, composition, rendering form, and color theory.
Demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on practice will guide you through gaining familiarity and confidence within various areas of the watercolor medium. Learn how to handle and control your materials, create dynamic compositions, depict illusion, and use color relationships to your advantage. Every exercise is designed for you to acquire skills that can be continued in your home studio.
Steve Puttrich began his studies at the American Academy of Art, as well as the Art Institute of Chicago. He received degrees in architectural illustration, graphic design, and fine art. After a 35-year career as an artist, designer, and Vice President of Creative Services and Innovation for Parson Corporations, Steve is now enjoying painting and teaching full-time. In his work, he strives to tell a story through his own personal connection and experience with his subject matter.
