Discover the traditional techniques of botanical illustration in this watercolor-based workshop. Using the pear as inspiration, you will learn how to select materials, draw the form, and layer watercolor to achieve desired color, texture, and volume.

Through a series of demonstrations, Mary Anne will guide you through the drawing and painting process from start to finish. Brushes, papers, and paints will be explained, as well as color theory, drawing transfers, and paint application. A review of all work will close the workshop, in addition to a lecture on the direction of contemporary botanical art and artists.
