In this technically based workshop you will explore processes related to plaster mold-making and slip casting over the course of five studio days. Discover a workflow that allows you to create multiples; expanding the possibilities of your ceramic process.

This workshop will begin with discussion and demonstrations, providing you with a solid foundation in this process and its variations. You will learn how to mix plaster, partition a piece to be molded, and create one- and two- or more part molds. Learn how to care for molds, mix casting slip, pour and release pieces, and attach sprig decorations. Prepare for a busy week, loaded with information and a unique hands-on experience. This workshop will be held Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday; breaking for molds to dry on Sunday. Some ceramics experience is required.
